He also confirmed that they have plans to learn the public administration system in Bangkok governor office today.
U Aung Thu Nyein, a responsible person from Bahu Development Institute told to IMNA that, “the MPs had been getting trainings by Myanmar E-Grass on the political system, and were trained by Bahu and Chiaing Mai University on Political Science and Public Administration. Now, they have opportunity to continuously learn Thai parliamentary and administration system to see with their eyes”.
Additionally, the 22 MPs delegate will also study the programs of Thai government’s social and economic planning in National Economics and Social Development Planning Board in Bangkok.
The MPs from ethnic political parties are from All Mon Region Democracy Party (AMDP), Chin National Party (CNP), Palon-Sawor (Karen) Democratic Party, Arakan National Progressive Party (ANPP), Shan National Democratic Party (SNDP), and National Unity and Democracy Party (Kachin State).
Bahu Development Institute and Myanmar E-Grass are the local civil society organizations, which have engaged with ethnic political parties since pre-2010 elections time.
Bahu Development Institute was founded in 2005 and it has provided various types of trainings from civic education to development training to build up the capacities of ethnic youths to involve in political activities and development projects.
